Helping the Church become a safe place for the wounded.
Trauma education for Christians and churches—rooted in lived experience, trauma-informed training, and a deep love for Jesus and the Church.
Trauma leaves real wounds—and how we respond matters.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
—Matthew 11:28
Trauma impacts how people experience faith, relationships, and the Church.
When trauma isn’t understood, even well-intentioned care can miss the mark—leaving survivors feeling unseen, unsafe, or misunderstood.
Why I Do This Work
I love Jesus. I love the Church. And I believe the Church can be one of the most powerful places of healing for those impacted by trauma—when we understand trauma well.
I am both a trauma survivor and a trauma educator. My lived experience gives me deep compassion for those carrying unseen wounds, and my trauma education equips me to help Christians and churches understand how trauma impacts faith, relationships, and spiritual formation.
I am also a pastor’s wife and have served in ministry for over 25 years. Through decades of life and leadership within the Church, I’ve walked alongside individuals, families, and communities navigating pain, loss, and trauma. This long-standing ministry experience has given me a deep respect for the Church—and an honest understanding of where trauma is often misunderstood, not because of a lack of faith, but because of a lack of trauma awareness.
Today, my work is focused on equipping Christians and churches with a biblical and trauma-informed framework—so care is wise, discipleship is safer, and survivors are met with compassion rather than confusion.

We're talking about reminders. So we don't forget. When I was struggling, I needed reminders of God's goodness everywhere. Having tools and resources at your fingertips on your healing journey is so important, friend!
Most of us don’t go too far without our phone or mobile device. Why not put them on our phones as reminders and encouragement for your healing?
I have created a series of downloadable phone wallpapers to do just that. These are completely free and offer timely and needed reminders on your journey.
